POSOCO Power System Awards (PPSA)


POSOCO Power System Award (PPSA) outlines the initiative to recognize research excellence in power system by rewarding Doctoral/Master research accomplishments in all the technical institutions offering PG in power system and related field in India.

This is a CSR activity of Power System Operation Corporation Limited (POSOCO) – a Government of India Enterprise. POSOCO has associated with Foundation for Innovation & Technology Transfer (FITT), the industrial interface organization at IIT Delhi for implementation of the CSR activity. This is the 11th edition of the award program wholly funded by POSOCO. FITT will function as the nodal agency for implementation of this award program at national level.

Creation and sharing of knowledge between Industry and Academia is of utmost importance for the country’s future. POSOCO being a knowledge-based control centre organization, encourages strengthening co-ordination with academia.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA & SUBMISSION GUIDELINES

  • Those willing to apply for this PPSA-2023, must qualify following eligibility criteria:
    • Eligible to Indian citizens only.
    • Applications relevant to power system and related fields are eligible to apply.
    • Only recently accomplished projects/research work/innovations are eligible for entry.
    • For Master category, only those who have been awarded degree in 2022 are eligible for participation.
    • For Doctoral category, those who have completed 3 years of the program or submitted their thesis or awarded degrees in 2022 are eligible for award.
  • Submission Guidelines
    • Applicants may submit as an individual and (or) team, and no upper cap for the team size.
    • Team may comprise members from multidisciplinary and academic years. Faculty may be included in to the team, but their role is restricted to advisory/mentoring/guide level only.
    • In case of IP involvement, applicant/team has to take approval or to furnish no objection letter from principal advisor/co-inventors/research colleagues, if they are not part of team.
    • The applicant will have to register on the portal and then apply for the award.
    • The application form must be furnished with all the details as per the fields given in the online application form.
    • Every applicant must submit a power point presentation (not exceeding 10 slides) as per the given field in the portal.
    • Incomplete application will not be accepted.
